The wind is cold,
the frost is in the air.
A pine tree shivers
From the snow that covers it,
Changing its cheery green to white all over.
The tree stands tall however,
nor cold, nor ice will tear this giant down.
She remains steadfast and strong,
a symbol to all to ‘grin and bear it.’
The tree continues to produce oxygen ,
Like females produce young, as well as shelter
For this alone she is an object of worship
Amongst all land-dwelling animals.
In this moment, the poor pine tree is frigid,
she continues to get her nutrients from the ground,
from the rain water, and from Mother Earth.
She refuses to be downtrodden.
As they tend to grow

Too bad the growth of God’s Adams and Eves
has led to such downfall of the mighty tree!
The shivering pine is angry with all,
a wastage of God’s ‘Paradise’
has not gone unnoticed by it,
and her nearby comrades are aware of this too.
They think, If only humans could be less egotistical,
perhaps braver. more resourceful,
less focused on reaping resources from the land,
and more focused on restoring balance……
If only…
