Burin Peninsula drive with my Pop and Nan

Grand Bank is home sweet home,
under a sunshine dome!
In Fortune, a gateway to another country,
with beautiful rock sediments and history.

Beautiful sunshiny day in Point May
pure happiness in a simple ray
Calmer; peace in its name,
will always be the same
Oh I am so keen,
of sweet little Lamaline

We certainly will fall,
for Pointe au Gaul
Taylor's Bay -I have heard them say
that this place is quite okay.
Lord's cove ~~horses galore,
this land I adore

Each and every dawn
is quite special in our Lawn.
St. Lawrence- the very best
place for adorance
Epworth makes me so thoughtful,
so thoughtful indeed of Wordsworth.
Wans Worth reminds me of the north,
pretty cold in the winter
but with very pretty summers.

Lance E Ou reminds me straightaway
of Lance Aux Loup, where I spent so
many childhood summer days. :)
Big Salmonier..... mmmm salmon is all I have to say about this one.
Lewin's Cove, quaint and pretty, quite like a dove
I have heard it said quite often, "the place for all the best curin' " is Burin.

Marystown is at its core,
they sure have many stores.
 Then we have Frenchman's Cove
which is as precious as a dove.
Sea side with beautiful gardens in Garnish,
this wonderful place will never tarnish.

Grand Beach, place of my sweet Grandmother's birth,
she has held so many of us,
her love continues to reach everyone with no fuss.

Grand Bank,  place of so many
happy, wonderful, and cherishable
childhood memories...

home sweet home.

⚽️Summer Rain

Children play in the garden,

oblivious to the impending weather.

Children play, so carefree

as light as some feathers.

The sun beams from the sky,

let's play soccer sweet, young boy.

Or perhaps you would like to play indoors,

with a new game or a really cool toy.

Enjoy every moment

you possibly can outdoors.

Before you know it,

weather can change and the rain will pour.

Rain beats down softly

on the window panes.

Watering our trees, grass and plants,

balancing out our wonderful food chain.

My Spectacular Pop (acrostic poem no. 4)

Magnificently,

You're MY pop. How lucky could one be?

Special you are,

Precious indeed;

Excellent - on all accounts!

Could never find a better one,

Terrific you surely are.

Amazing from

Childhood to Adulthood

Unbelievably

Loveable

Automatically forgiving

Rough on the outside, soft inside.

Patience galore

Oh, how lucky could we be to have you, dearest Pop...

....Part of our family forever!!

Sacrifice

cold, like the crystal white snow,

cascading from the blue sky

wind, violent, also harsh

blowing and tearing at objects

cheeks rosy, noses red,

eyes are crying,

but I'm laughing instead.

Cause you made it home safe.

sweet boy

To feel anything,

It is all numb,

To feel everything,

This makes me dumb.

This frustrating,

This very unreal,

This painful cold;

My skin feels teal.

I love you...
